An Everlasting Love |
|||||||||||
|
We know that the whole world is seeking love, but the love that they have been finding is not fulfilling their longings. Why do you think that so many divorces are running
rampant? It would seem that Christian marriages would be everlasting.
They should be but it lacks the most important ingredient and that is
Agape (God kind of Love, which is unconditional). People are still trying to love with human love, and
I can tell you that is not enough. E.W. Kenyon said in one of his books
that human love is bankrupt. Human love is based on the five senses.
Man can only provide a Phileo
( selfish) type of love 5368. phileo, fil-eh'-o; from G5384; to be a friend
to (fond of [an individual or an object]), i.e. have affection for
(denoting personal attachment, as a matter of sentiment or feeling;
while G25 is wider, embracing espec. the judgment and the deliberate
assent of the will as a matter of principle, duty and propriety: the two
thus stand related very much as G2309 and G1014, or as G2372 and G3563
respectively; the former being chiefly of the heart and the latter of
the head); spec. to kiss (as a mark of tenderness):--kiss, love. In the world today you see so much hatred, evil for
evil. The world says I’ll love you if you are good to me but if you
hurt me I will get you back. It starts a cycle, and before you know it
resentment, rejection and rebellion join in. The next thing you know
pride is knocking at the door. No one wants to take the first step to
say I am sorry. Why is this? It is because the human nature thinks of
self. I have ministered to so many people that are hurting
and it saddens me, but sometimes we can only see ourselves, as the
one’s hurting. We are the victims and cannot get past that. I am here
to tell you that even when we are the victims we are hurting someone
else and are not even aware of it because of being wrapped up in self. I can say these things because I have been there.
There were times in my life that I was so blinded by hurt, I could not
see anything else. I could not see that my family was hurting, my
children were hurting and even my friends. I got to the point that I
thought all of my friends were using me, and a lot of them were, but I
allowed it. If I kept allowing hurts to come, I did not have to take
responsibility in my life. I could live and exist in self-pity, hurt,
anger and etc. All my life I would give love, I love to help people
and people always needed help. I
was giving what I thought was real love, but one day, my human love went
bankrupt. I did not want to love anymore. I went to counseling and was
told that I was a woman that loved too much. I actually went home and
prayed that God would take love from me, it was too painful. I praise
God all the time, that He did not answer that prayer. Instead He put His
Love (Agape) in me. Now I know first hand what love really is. Actually
God spoke to me and said go and teach my love, but most of all be my
love on earth. Amen I could continue on the human aspect of love but it does not profit much. I want you to know and walk in the everlasting love. That is where the victory in your life on earth is. In the beginning God began with love. He longed for a
family, so His love created man, and he had His family. Love was the
breath that made man come to life. God (love) blew His breath into man. The devil could not stand the love, because he was
full of hate, so he caused Adam and Eve to fall, and hate began to rule.
Spiritual death took over. 1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for
God is love. The word love here means: 26. agape, ag-ah'-pay; from G25; love, i.e. affection or
benevolence; spec. (plur.) a love-feast:--(feast of) charity ([-ably]),
dear, love. 1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love
that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth
in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we
may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in
this world. John 3:16 For God (love) so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:17 For God (love) sent not his Son into the
world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be
saved. God (love) sent Jesus to bring love (God) back.
Jesus is the perfect example of God’s Love. If you have seen
the movie Passion, you will have seen God’s Love in action. We have
seen pictures of Jesus on the cross many times but none have shown close
to what He went through until the movie Passion was released. I have
heard people say that Jesus was really a strong man physically to take
the beating He did. I agree that He probably was strong in that way, but
He was still in a human body. What I saw was Love in action. Every time
He fell to the ground, He thought of you and me and Love compelled Him
to get up. He knew that the only way for us to be saved was for Him to
die. He had a destiny. Could any of us endure that?
Jesus paid the price for you. He took on all the hate of the
world, and defeated Satan, so you could walk in His Love. Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were
baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism
into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory
of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: When we were baptized into Jesus Christ we were given
a new life, and that we should walk in it. The new life is Love. God’s
love was put in us at that point. If you are a born again believer love
is in you, but are you walking in it. Some say how do I do that.
You believe that The Word of God is true, and obey it. Rom 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love
of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given
unto us. Gal 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision
availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. The Word says: Mat
22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy
heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment. Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt
love thy neighbour as thyself. Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law
and the prophets. (John
13:34 KJV) A new
commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved
you, that ye also love one another. (John 15:12 KJV) This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. (John 15:17 KJV)
These things I command you, that ye love one another. (Rom 13:8 KJV) Owe
no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another
hath fulfilled the law. (1 Th 4:9 KJV) But
as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye
yourselves are taught of God to love one another. (1 Pet 1:22 KJV)
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through
the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one
another with a pure heart fervently: (1 John 3:11 KJV)
For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we
should love one another. (1 John 3:23 KJV)
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name
of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us
commandment. (1 John 4:7 KJV)
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every
one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. (1 John 4:11 KJV)
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 1 Cor 13:8 Charity
never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether
there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall
vanish away. Charity in Greek:
26. agape, ag-ah'-pay; from G25; love, i.e. affection or
benevolence; spec. (plur.) a love-feast:--(feast of) charity ([-ably]),
dear, love. If you are born again (born of God) you have God’s
(love) nature already in you. That is what the Word says, I did not say
it. Husbands and wives, do you know there would never be
another argument in your home, if you were big enough to say, Dear,
forgive me. I should not have said that. I should not have done that.
When you have humbled yourself in that way it gives love a place. God
can move. We must remember that God only moves on His Word. God is Love, and he that abides in God and God abides
in Him. Now if God is abiding in you, then you have the solution of the
problem that confronts you, if you give Him the right-a-way to solve it. We often tell others that God (the Holy Spirit)
abides in us, which is good, but there is something missing. We must
abide in Him. We must become that one with Him. We must surrender all
and be possessed by Him. The Love of God flows out of our spirit, not out of
our flesh. It was your spirit that was born again, not your flesh. Gal 5:22-25
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is
no law. And they that are
Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. As you can see that unless we are born of God we
cannot walk in the everlasting love. It is a love that is eternal.
Everything will fade away but the love of God will never fail, never
fades out or becomes obsolete. You
cannot imitate God’s love, it is pure. Follow the law of love and you cannot fail!!!!Jesus was praying for you and me in this scripture.
He was declaring to the Father that the same love that God loved Jesus
with be in us Wow! He not only prayed that love be in us, He prayed that
He would be in us. John 17:26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. Some
may be saying within themselves right about now. I do not know if I want
to love like that. I do not know if I want to love my neighbor. Why
should I? It is a commandment John 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. You see Jesus commanded us to love one another as He loves us.
When Jesus commands (asks) us to do something
He has already equipped us to do it? We are equipped with the
Holy Spirit who dwells in us and teaches us all things. 1
John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in
you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing
teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it
hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. Eph
3:16-21 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory,
to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That
Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and
grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the
breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye
might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him (love) that is
able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the
church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Eph
4:1-3 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk
worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and
meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of
peace. 1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God,
because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives
for the brethren. 1 John 3:17 But whoso hath this world's good, and
seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion
from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in
word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. Whenever you see a brother in need, let that
compassion and love rise up in you and meet that need.
God supplies all our needs, but He uses people to channel the
needs to the right places. If we sow love and compassion we reap love
and compassion. 2 Pet 1:4 Thus he has given us, through these things,
his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may
escape from the corruption that is in the world because of lust, and may
become participants of the divine nature. NRSV 2 Pet 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great
and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine
nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
KJV When we are born again, we become that partaker
(sharer, partner, associate of
the Divine (Godhead nature)
lineal descent,) and we know that God’s nature is Love. The New
Creation in Christ Jesus is a love Creation. If God (love) is our nature then selfishness is
dethroned. IF we live in Love (God) we begin bearing the fruits
of love, and the fruit of love will show by the actions, conduct and the
Words that are born of love. The days of hating, jealousy, bitterness
and having revenge in your Heart (spirit) are gone. Agape Love Love causes us to put others first, and it makes us tender, kind and gentle. Love blesses those that persecute them. Love prays for those that are their enemies. Love never envy’s another in what they have, love
rejoices with them. Love doesn’t give someone stone when they ask for
bread, they give them the Bread Of Life. Love sees through the eyes of faith, not through the
sense dominated eyes. Love is the ability of God in us. Love puts sweetness into giving and doing, and that fills the heart of the receiver with joy. Love never fails. Love is kind, even to the ones that have caused hurt. Love binds relationships together. Love makes one light-hearted, companionable and
helpful. Love is God’s cure for every ill. Love is God in action. Love edifies. Love is the force of life. Love is the life of the heart (spirit), and the heart
(spirit) is the life of man. Love redeems a wasted life and transforms it into
beauty and usefulness.
