Confessions for the Body of Christ

THE COMFORTER
The
Holy Spirit is the power in our lives, and unless we come to the knowledge
of this, we will move around in fear, torment, confusion, and some will
even fall away in these last days. There
are many temptations in the world now and believe me the enemy will try to
use them on you. He picks your weakest points and tries to cause you to
give in to that temptation. If
you believe that the Holy Spirit dwells in you, He will guide you in the
truth and He will create a desire in you to not fall into the things that
the devil is trying to get you to do. He will even warn you of danger, and
prepare you for what is to come. Remember
the OT people did not have the Holy Spirit in them, so they failed, and
were rebellious. They relied on self. Believe
me when you depend on self, you are headed for trouble. Leaning on self is
pride. Mark
7: 20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the
man. 21
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts,
adulteries, fornications, murders, 22
Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil
eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23.
All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. Pro:
6; 18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. I
know that the Holy Spirit is real and I want to share a testimony of how
the Holy Spirit saved my life, because I heard His voice and knew to
follow the voice. On
Jan. 3, 2001, the house we were living in caught fire and within 15-20
minutes it was destroyed. I was in the house in the back room doing some
work on the computer. I heard a loud boom and the power went out, and the
computers went black. At first I did not think anything about it, because
the power went off periodically in that area, so I was sitting there
waiting for the computers to come back on. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and
said get up and get out. I got up and started down the hall, and I saw the
smoke. I approached the den and there I saw my husband’s chair, part of
the carpet and the wall burning. I ran outside to see if I could get help.
I felt this urgency, so I did not pick up the phone. My neighbor, just
happened to be outside, and he went to call the fire dept. I thought I
would go back to see if I could do something, but when I went in the smoke
was so strong I could hardly breathe, so I ran back outside. I do not
remember exactly why I felt I should try one more time to go back in, but
as I approached the door and tried to open it, it would not open. The Holy
Spirit spoke to me again and told me to get away from that door. I obeyed
and as soon as I did, there was an explosion that even shook all the
windows. The whole back part of the den just exploded and blew out the
storm door. The
Holy Spirit saved my life. The
next day, we went back to see if there was anything that we could save. My
husband had loaded up a few things that was covered in soot, and charred.
He decided to leave for about thirty minutes, but I stayed. I wanted to
look around. My plan was to go into what use to be our bedroom, but the
Holy Spirit spoke to me and told me not to go in their alone, so I did
not. When my husband came back we left and decided to wait until the next
day to go back in. The
next day we went back in and guess what, when we walked into the bedroom
that the Holy Spirit had told me not to go in, the day before, the whole
ceiling had collapsed. The
Holy Spirit had saved my life again. I thank God that Jesus left the
precious Holy Spirit for me. He truly is my friend and wants to be every
ones friend. Did
you know that the Holy Spirit would teach you how to walk in divine
health? He will even teach
you the kind of foods that your body needs.
Remember, the Word says He will teach us all things. I
pray that you will come to the understanding of the Holy Spirit, because
you need Him so. I
want to give you an illustration of something in the natural. After you
wash your hair, most people want to dry it with a hair dryer, which is
good, but think upon this. You have to do something before you can get the
dryer to work. You have to plug it in, so it can receive the power to run. The
Holy Spirit does live in you but if you do not plug into Him, You cannot
walk in the power of the anointing. He
is the anointing. 1
John 2: 27 But the anointing
which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man
teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is
truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in
him. Paul
had a real revelation of the Holy Spirit. He knew that without Him he was
nothing, but through Him he could do all things. 1
Cor: 2:1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of
speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus
Christ, and him crucified. 3
And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's
wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the
power of God. 6
Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the
wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to
nought: 7
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden
wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known
it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither
have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for
them that love him. 10
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit
searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man
which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit
of God. 12
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit
which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us
of God. 13
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom
teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things
with spiritual. 14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:
for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they
are spiritually discerned. 15
But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is
judged of no man. 16
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him?
But we have the mind of Christ. 1
Cor: 3: 16 Know ye not that
ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? Walking
In The Spirit To
walk in the Spirit you must become faithful and diligent to spend the time
it takes to get to know God. You cannot trust Him if you do not get to
know Him personally. We have this personal relationship with the Father
and have solid foundation in the Word; we are like the man with the five
talents. We cannot hide our talents and expect to be blessed. We have to
use the talents God has given us for His glory. We need to be wise and
faithful at all times. Let’s walk in that higher realm where we can
absolutely dominate the things of the earth. Gal:
5: 16-18 This I say then,
Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Gal.5:
25 If we live in the Spirit,
let us also walk in the Spirit. To
be able to walk in the Spirit, even though we are clothed in the flesh, we
have to spend more time pursuing the things of the Spirit rather than the
flesh. We have to become dedicated to prayer and fellowship with God. We
have to be dedicated to the Word of God and be willing to take the time
away from this busy life around us. He honors that. We need to get alone
with God so He can talk to us, teach us and guide us. Our
natural ability does not determine our usefulness; all we have to do is
live in His presence. He has the ability. God
does not look for ability, He looks for availability. Make
yourselves available, by praying in the spirit; worshipping and
fellowshipping with Him. He will begin manifesting His Character, His
Nature, His Glory and His spirit in you. Rom
8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to
the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Rom
8:30 Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he
called them he also justified: and whom he justified them he also
glorified. Jesus
is not on earth anymore so God reproduced Himself in us, the believers so
the world can come to know Him through us, the believers. Overcoming The Flesh Have
you noticed that sometimes you are aware of certain things before you even
know what the Word says about it? That is because the Holy Spirit is
teaching you the truth. John
16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into
all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall
hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. We hear
things come up in our spirit and float up into our mind. You need to
do this. Sometimes you listen and sometimes you don’t. You hear it and
let it go. Then later it
comes back and you hear it again. These are promptings of the Spirit by
the Holy Spirit. As we
become more aware of the Spirit of God in our every day affairs, we will
be quicker to hear and obey those promptings. This is God’s desire for
the Body Of Christ. The Holy Spirit is revealing the will of God to us in
our spirits.
Spiritual
Failure is due to the Weakness of the Flesh Mat
26:40-41 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and
saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Acts
2:26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also
my flesh shall rest in hope: (Rom
3:20 KJV) Therefore by the
deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by
the law is the knowledge of sin. We
have allowed our flesh to dominate us because of lack of knowledge Gal
5:25-26 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Gal
6:6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth
in all good things. The
flesh will do whatever we train it to do. If we give attention to the
things of the world, our flesh will desire to do the things of the world.
If we expose our flesh to the things of God it will want to obey the
things of God. Heb
5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those
who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and
evil. Heb
12:1 Wherefore seeing we also
are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside
every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run
with patience the race that is set before us, Envy,
strife and jealously are sin and will shut the door to the blessings of
God and will open the door to the devil. Unforgiveness will make you sick The
devil pulls at your flesh to get you into the world’s way. The world
tries to convince us that we are missing out on the fun and being deprived
of things. We
cannot expose ourselves to the things of the world, because your body will
dominate you into these things. Gal
5:17-18 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against
the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot
do the things that ye would. Practicing
the things of the spirit will cause you to overcome the desires of the
flesh. It will cause your spirit to dominate the flesh. Continue
meditating the Word, confessing the Word until it is in your heart. Pray
(without ceasing) 1
Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing. Mat
26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed
is willing, but the flesh is weak. Mat
21:21 -22 Jesus answered and said
unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye
shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall
say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it
shall be done. Rom
6:11-13 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but
alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom
6:16 -18 (NIV) Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone
to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey--whether
you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads
to righteousness?
I want to challenge you to be a doer of the Word and not just a Hearer. Everyday when you wake up, say, Good morning Holy Spirit, What are we going to do today? What's on the Father's heart. Holy Spirit, I rely on you for this day. I submit myself to you, every minute, every hour, every circumstance, I rely on you, and not on myself. I rely on the wisdom from above for this day. Remind the Holy Spirit that you do rely on Him. Ask The Holy Spirit to show you things in yourself that need changing, then trust that He will. You will walk into a new level of your spiritual growth, when you start applying these words in your lfe.
My Lord and Savior Jesus died for each and everyone of us, and He gave us an abundant life to have here on Earth. So many are waiting to have that ZOE life in heaven, but Jesus wanted us to experience it on earth. After all He said His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. He Loves each and everyone of us so. The Father's heart is saddened to see God's children, walking around beaten up, down trodden, in bondage, in sin, and living in fear, because all of those things are not of Him. He is Love.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
